Position Summary The Payroll and HR Operations Specialist is responsible for executing and managing core HR processes across onboarding, compliance, payroll, benefit support, and recruiting coordination. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in Payroll & HR operations while supporting a structured and compliant employee experience. This position owns transactional HR workflows end-to-end and serves as a critical operational partner to leadership by maintaining process integrity. Key Responsibilities • Process payroll in accordance with established schedule and company policies • Administer wage garnishments, tax levies, child support orders and voluntary deductions • Post jobs, manage applicant tracking, and coordinate recruiting logistics • Coordinate and execute new hire onboarding including new hire orientation • Updating and maintaining data in HRIS and personnel files • Manage workers’ compensation intake, tracking and coordination • Oversee FMLA tracking and coordination • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA, and employee inquiry • Manage OSHA reporting • Reconcile temp agency timesheets and support invoicing • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and events • Support investigations, gather information, draft documents, track actions • Manage employment verifications • Assist with training coordination • Generate standard payroll and HR reports and metrics • Support HR projects and other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications Required • At least 2 – 4 years HR operations, payroll or recruiting support experience • Ability to work autonomously while delivering high quality results with attention to detail • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (ADP preferred) • Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously • Ability to manage project timelines, set milestones and align resources • Ability to use MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Preferred • Experience in manufacturing or operational environment • Bilingual ability is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
